The “Dolmen” – a work by multi-award-winning Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto De Moura in the woods at Villa Strobele – has now been officially opened. The unveiling also offered a special occasion for Menz&Gasser to renew our partnership with Arte Sella, which is all about safeguarding and cherishing the natural world about us.
Sculpted from tonalite, an igneous rock from the Adamello Alps, the work offers itself as both a gateway to the mountains and an architectural bulwark with an intrinsic dual meaning, expressing both the value of architecture and a clear signal of human fragility before the power of nature.
