In line with our commitment to sustainability and safeguarding the environment, Menz&Gasser has signed up to the RafCicle® programme to recover and re-use waste from throughout the label life cycle. The service – devised by UPM Raflatac and provided in Italy by LCI, the national leader in waste-paper recycling – takes waste from the label-production process and gives it a new life in the form of paper, energy or biocomposites.
This cutting-edge high-tech process recovers the siliconised label backing after production use and sends it to the UPM works in Plattling, Bavaria, to be made into new cellulose. Thus, the recycling circle is closed. In signing up to this programme, Menz&Gasser once again reaffirms our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and promoting a circular economic model.
