The challenge that Menz&Gasser has launched for its employees, is to reduce CO2 emissions and promote a more mindful form of commuting between home and work. In 2019, the company bought 54 e-bikes, with the aim of making it easier to get around and adopting a fully green philosophy.
The numbers seem to confirm the success of the initiative: more than 32,000km have been travelled with our new e-bikes, saving 5,300kg of CO2.
But this doesn’t mean we have achieved our goal: it is an invitation to do even better. In fact, this is just one of the many sagacities that Menz & Gasser undertakes every day to achieve a zero-impact existence, such as cogenerators powered by biogas and methane and the use of alternative energies like solar energy.
We might even say that this is one small bike ride for man, but a giant leap for all of us – and for the environment that surrounds us.
