A dash of all-Italian creativity and a consummate mastery of technique were the winning ingredients in the successful demonstration given recently in Kuala Lumpur by Elena “Wendy” Bosca. Elena teaches international confectionery and decoration at IFSE, the prestigious school of haute cuisine and confectionery recognised as a Centre of Italian Excellence by the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic.
Also taking centre stage were the professional semi-processed confectionery products by Menz&Gasser, devised and made specially to meet professionals’ needs for quality, variety and creativity. Elena made all her traditional European desserts, from pies and tartlets to muffins and mini apple pies, with Menz&Gasser products. She chose items from the Fruit Filling range, created to specific recipes catering especially for the needs of the south-east Asian market.
The participants at the demonstration – 15 agents from our Malaysian and Singaporean importers – appreciated not only the quality of Menz&Gasser’s products but also the confectionery-making techniques that Elena presented. Indeed, creativity with an Italian twist and an inventive mastery of the confectioner’s art are the added value that Menz&Gasser can offer to help our customers continue to grow in the Asian market.
